Woman slain
ARLINGTON — Arlington police have charged a man with the murder of family member on Saturday.
Police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment in the 400 block of East Pioneer Parkway around noon. When they arrived, they found a woman in a bedroom who was dead with a cut to her neck.
Family and friends identified the suspect, Liban Jama, who had left the scene.
Jama was apprehended a few blocks away and charged with murder. Bail is set at $150,000.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 64-year-old Faduma Buh.
This is the city's second homicide of 2012, police said.
