ALLEN — Remember when two Allen police officers were arrested in March for the way they chose to discipline their son?

Officer Melissa Smith has now been indicted on charges of injury to a child. She is accused of hitting her son with a belt and leaving bruises.

Her husband, Robert Darrin Smith, was no-billed by a grand jury. He was accused of handcuffing the 11-year-old and taking him to the police department.
