DALLAS -- A U.S. district judge sentenced an Addison man to 12 years in federal prison Tuesday for sending child pornography to what turned out to be an undercover officer in Florida.
Guy Martin Johnson, 56, pleaded guilty to one count of transportation of child pornography in November 2012.
The investigation began in January 2012 when Johnson entered a chat room and began speaking to the officer, who claimed to be a mother who had a son interested in sex with an adult male. Over the course of several days, police say Johnson expressed his desire to have sex with the "mother's" 14-year-old son.
After more conversations, Johnson sent the undercover officer 21 images depicting child pornography.
In May 2012, the Dallas police's Internet Crimes Against Children task force executed a search warrant for Johnson's house, and he admitted to officers he had chatted with someone in Florida, but claimed it was all fantasy.
An analysis of computer equipment found during the search found 149 images and two videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
