Despite most Texas schools being on Spring Break, three North Texas high schools plan on participating with students across the nation today in protest of gun violence.
March 14 marks one month since the high school shooting in Parkland, Fla. that killed 17. Across the country students are planning mass walkouts for 17 minutes to honor those lives lost at 10 a.m.
Students from Coppell High School, Flower Mound High School, Denton High School and McKinney High School all have plans to participate in what they're calling a "walk-in."
The hashtag #Enough is being used across social media to talk about what has been dubbed as "National School Walkout Day." Parents, teachers, students and administrators have all took to Twitter, Facebook and even Instagram to express their support or concern regarding the walkouts.
For those who cannot participate, there is a virtual walkout happening online as well.
Those walking out plan on wearing orange clothing in solidarity with this effort.
