DALLAS — Here at Channel 8, we’re proud to bring you Project Green, a program that educates North Texans on how to live cleaner, smarter, and richer lives to help preserve the environment.

This week we honor Eco-Educators like Sheridan Stringer, who are teaching that very lesson in the classroom.

Stringer and her students at Merriman Park Elementary School in the Richardson ISD reserve water by saving rain in barrels for the many beautiful flowers, vegetables and watermelons in their campus gardens.

On Thursday, Stringer received News the Project Green Eco-Educators Award Viewers Choice. Congratulations for making Project Green a part of her students’ daily lives.
