Taste of the NFL: Dallas Cowboys Style
Cadillac is a proud sponsor of Taste of the NFL in 2011. Taste of NFL is a strolling food and wine event held on the eve of Super Bowl in the host city. More than 32 restaurant stations, one from each NFL city, provide fabulous food and wine pairings for guests to sample. Guests can enjoy getting photos with and autographs from our celebrity chefs and players. (Merchandise such as footballs, helmets and aprons are available for sale at the event.) They also have the opportunity to bid on hundreds of one-of-a-kind sports and entertainment items, gorgeous jewelry and fabulous getaways in our silent auction. The evening concludes with entertainment from a nationally-acclaimed band or performer. Don’t miss out on this special event!
The Hunger Issue
As you read this, millions of people in America are struggling with hunger. In fact, 1 out of every 6 people in our country face this serious issue – many of them are children. For 20 years, Taste of the NFL has been working to kick hunger. While we're proud to report that we've raised more than $10 million during that time, we're saddened to report that the need to do more is greater than ever. Taste of the NFL Mission
To address the needs of the hungry and homeless by raising awareness and money through special events.
Since 1992, the Taste of the NFL has rallied the country's top chefs and the NFL's greatest to raise money in support of food banks throughout the United States. The efforts culminate at the Super Bowl with The Party with a Purpose®. Held on the eve of Super Bowl, this event is a unique way to experience exceptional cuisine, meet NFL players and coaches, and support our fight against hunger. Through the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who help make Taste of the NFL the single most successful charitable event at the Super Bowl, Taste of the NFL continues to help feed the 37 million Americans who have turned to their local food banks for assistance. Who does Taste of the NFL Help?

A food and wine-tasting extravaganza hosted on the eve of the Super Bowl in North Texas, Taste of the NFL is committed to kicking hunger
What: Taste of the NFL, a non-profit organization dedicated to kicking hunger in America, announces that tickets are now on sale for its 20th annual fundraising event on the eve of Super Bowl XLV at the Fort Worth Convention Center. This year’s “Party with a Purpose®” will feature outstanding chefs from each NFL city who will serve their signature specialties with help from a current or former NFL player. Guests will have the opportunity to sample specialty foods, meet the chefs, take photos with and get autographs from NFL greats and enjoy live musical entertainment. With a mission to end hunger in America, proceeds from the event benefit food banks in every NFL market.
2011 Highlights: As Super Bowl XLV marks the 20th year of Taste of the NFL, the 2011 Party with a Purpose is shaping up to be the biggest to date.
• “Iron Chef America” Kent Rathbun of Abacus in Dallas and former Dallas Cowboy great Chad Hennings will help host the North Texas event.
• Several of Taste of the NFL’s inaugural chefs, including many celebrity chefs, and players from 1992 will return as special guests.
• TLC’s “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro will be onsite to showcase an original cake creation to commemorate Taste of the NFL’s 20th year.
• Honorary Chairperson is Daryl "Moose" Johnston, a former Dallas Cowboy who is now a sports analyst on The NFL on Fox.
• The event will feature the “Flavors of North Texas”, showcasing the food from eight of the region’s best chefs.
• The newly-crowned Miss America will once again be on hand to greet guests.
• A major entertainment act, to be announced soon, will perform live. (Past entertainment acts have included Bare Naked Ladies, Brooks and Dunn, Styx and Wynona)
