Sundance Square has an array of exciting, family events planned throughout the entire year. But one of the most special times of the year for Sundance Square is the Holiday Season! Gather up your friends or family and make a trip out to Sundance Square for any of their wonderful winter event plans! The Nutcracker

Bring in the Holiday season with Ben Stevenson's critically acclaimed production of The Nutcracker. This beloved ballet tells the story of Clara and her magical Nutcracker Prince as they embark on a thrilling adventure. Along the way, they encounter a Christmas tree that grows to 40 feet, toy soldiers battling mischievous mice, waltzing flowers, dancing candy, and sparkling, swirling snowflakes that fall on dancers and the audience alike. Stunning costumes, dazzling sets and remarkable dancing to holiday music by Tchaikovsky make The Nutcracker a favorite family tradition.

 

Santa's Back in Town!

Now through Sunday, December 19, 2010

Main Street between Third and Fourth streets

Come downtown for a special visit with Santa in his magical home on Main Street in Sundance Square. Bring along your list of Christmas wishes and the jolly old man himself will have a special surprise waiting just for you! A crew of friendly elves from Fort Worth Sister Cities will provide photo opportunities with Santa for a $7 donation. All proceeds benefit the Sister Cities International Youth Program, which helps promote friendship and peace around the world. Just look for the BIG Christmas tree on Main Street between Third and Fourth streets. Photos will be taken at the enchanting Nutcracker set located on the north side of the tree every weekend through December 19. Visit Santa Fridays from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

...and just in the St. Nick of Time! Extended Santa hours: Monday, December 20 - Wednesday, December 22 - 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

KTVT and KTXA Toy Drive

Main Street between 3rd and 4th streets

Sundance Square welcomes KTVT (CBS 11) and KTXA (TXA 21) Toy Drive Thursday evening, December 16. The public is invited to stop by or drop off new, unwrapped toys for the Cowboy Santas Program at 3rd and Main streets from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to meet some of your favorite television personalities and hear the talented choral ensemble from the Happy Hill Farm Academy. The girls take the stage at 7:30 p.m. near the majestic 55' Sundance Square Christmas Tree to sing some of your holiday favorites. Don't miss it! This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the City of Fort Worth's Cowboy Santas Program. With your help, over 12,000 children received gifts in 2009 through this program.
