Recipes: Bacon brussels sprouts, grill-toasted cornbread with maple-pecan butter

BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON

Ingredients:

½  cup  Bacon cut in ½ inch wide slices
1.5 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1/2 cup sliced Shallot
3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Salt & Black Pepper, to taste

Preparation:

Heat Asado Grill to High heat. Place bacon on cooking surface and cook for 3 minutes, or until bacon begins to brown. Remove the bacon from the Asado and cook the Brussels sprouts with the rendered bacon fat. Around 5 minutes, or until they are browning.

Add shallots to Brussels sprouts cook for 2 minutes and then add bacon and garlic. Cook for 2 more minutes or until garlic begins to lightly brown, mix frequently. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately

GRILL-TOASTED CORNBREAD WITH MAPLE-PECAN BUTTER  

Ingredients:

Cornbread, 1 inch thick slices.
Melted butter, as needed.
Maple Butter, as needed (Recipe Below)

Preparation:

Heat Lynx Grill to Medium/low. Lightly brush some melted butter on both sides of each slice of cornbread. Grill for around 2 minutes on each side until warm and toasted. Spread some Maple-Pecan Butter and enjoy!

For Maple Pecan Butter:

½ cup  Butter, softened
½  cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup Pecans, chopped
Salt, to taste

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and use immediately or cover and refrigerate it until needed.
