LONDON (AP) — Novak Djokovic (JOH'-koh-vihch) blew a 5-2 lead in the fourth set before pulling out a 6-7, 7-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4 triumph over Roger Federer in the Wimbledon men's final. It's the second Wimbledon title for Djokovic, who also won it in 2011. Federer was trying to become Wimbledon's first eight-time singles champion.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Aric Almirola won the weather-delayed and rain-shortened Sprint Cup race at Daytona International Speedway, putting Richard Petty's famed No. 43 in Victory Lane for the first time since 1999. Almirola led for 14 of 112 laps before the race was stopped for good by another steady downpour after being postponed one day by rain. Brian Vickers was second, followed by Kurt Busch, Casey Mears and Austin Dillon.
WHITE SULPHER SPRINGS, W. Va (AP) — Angel Cabrera fired his second consecutive 6-under-par 64 to win the Greenbrier Classic by two strokes over George McNeill. The Argentine was 16-under in earning his first non-major PGA victory. His other wins came in the 2007 U.S. Open and 2009 Masters.
SHEFFIELD, England (AP) — Italy's Vincenzo Nibali has possession of the yellow jersey in the Tour de France after winning the second stage. The Astana team leader led a breakaway bunch to finish first in the 201-kilometer (125-mile) ride over nine rolling hills and through the heath of Yorkshire, England. Nibali leads the overall standings by two seconds over Slovakia's Peter Sagan.
