The Rangers moved a half-game ahead of Oakland in first place in the AL West with their first sweep of the A's since August 2011.

(AP) — Bradley Wright-Phillips scored twice in the first 24 minutes and added a second-half penalty kick to give the New York Red Bulls a 4-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo last night.
