TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — National judging is being held this weekend in Ohio for the 2014-2015 Duck Stamp.
The two-day Federal Duck Stamp Contest wraps up Saturday afternoon at Maumee Bay State Park near Toledo.
The duck stamp serves as a hunting license and entrance pass for national wildlife refuges. The stamps are also popular collector items.
The public can see the artwork and judging for free.
The contest is popular among wildlife artists and winning can help a career.
The purchase of a Federal Duck Stamp finances programs that have helped conserve more than 6.5 million acres of wetlands and grasslands for wildlife habitat.
