HOUSTON (AP) — Michael Saunders got Seattle's only hit with a two RBI double with two outs in the seventh inning to lift the Mariners to a 4-2 win over the Houston Astros last night. The long fly ball sailed just out of reach of sprinting center fielder Brandon Barnes and landed at the top of Tal's Hill at Minute Maid Park.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Adam Jones homered while every Baltimore starter had a hit, and the Orioles held on to beat the sliding Texas Rangers 7-4 last night. Rangers starter Ross Wolf was done after the first four batters reached base in the third innning. They all scored to put Baltimore up 7-0 at Rangers Ballpark.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Ivan Rodriguez has been inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame. The catcher affectionately known as "Pudge" became the 16th player inducted into the team's hall during a pregame ceremony last night. Rodriguez played the first 12 of his 21 major league seasons in Texas. He made his debut at age 19 in June 1991, and also returned to the Rangers for the end of the 2009 season.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Danielle Adams had 20 points and the San Antonio Silver Stars ended a four-game skid with a 60-52 victory over the Connecticut Sun yesterday. Jia Perkins added 15 points and Danielle Robinson had 10 points for San Antonio, which held the visitors to 29 percent shooting.
