MIAMI (AP) — Giancarlo Stanton's two-run double ended a 10-game RBI drought and helped Miami snap a five-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over Atlanta. Stanton's hit sparked a four-run first inning. Placido Polanco added three hits and three RBIs.

MIAMI (AP) — Miami is holding onto rugged forward Chris Anderson, who signed a one-year, $1.7 million contract, sacrificing some money to lessen the NBA champ's luxury tax burden. Andersen averaged 4.9 points in 42 games this past season off the Heat bench, then averaged 6.4 points in 20 playoff games.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The agent for Andrew Bynum says the free agent center has not yet decided where he will play next season, after Bynum met with the Dallas Mavericks today. Bynum has been offered an incentive-laden, two-year contract from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

PHOENIX (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired sharpshooting guard J.J. Redick and sent point guard Eric Bledsoe and small forward Caron (kuh-RAHN') Butler to the Phoenix Suns in a three-team trade. The deal also sends guard-forward Jared Dudley from the Suns to the Clippers. The deals were completed last week, but couldn't be announced until today because of NBA rules.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey Devils have re-signed Marek Zidlicky, keeping intact their top defensive pairing of him and Bryce Salvador. The Devils confirmed the signing of Zidlicky without releasing details of his new contract.
