PHOENIX (AP) — Patrick Corbin gave up three hits in eight innings to finally get his 10th victory and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat Colorado 6-1 for their fifth straight win and a dominant three-game sweep of the Rockies. Corbin struck out 10 in his seventh attempt at win No. 10.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Arizona has opened a four-and-a-half game lead in the NL West going into the start of a three-game series tonight with the L.A. Dodgers. The Dodgers climbed into second place by beating defending World Series champion San Francisco 4-1 as A.J. Ellis hit a three-run double in the ninth inning to help Clayton Kershaw win his eighth game.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Jered Weaver outdueled John Lackey and the Los Angeles Angels blanked the Boston Red Sox 3-0. Mike Trout and Hank Conger homered for the Angels to help Weaver improve to 3-4.

LONDON (AP) — Andy Murray became the first British male since Fred Perry in 1936 to win the men's title at Wimbledon. Murray prevailed over top seed and defending champion Novak Djokovic (JOH'-koh-vihch) 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 to add this year's Wimbledon title to his U.S. Open crown from 2012.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) — Jonas (YOH'-nahs) Blixt shot a 3-under 67 to win the rain-delayed Greenbrier Classic by two strokes. The Swede earned the $1.1 million winner's check, and also gets a spot in the upcoming British Open and next year's Masters for the victory.
