TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Leafs have acquired goaltender Jonathan Bernier from the Los Angeles Kings.

The Leafs gave up forward Matt Frattin, backup goaltender Ben Scrivens and their second-round pick in the 2014 or 2015 NHL entry draft.

The 24-year-old Bernier played in 14 regular-season games for the Kings in 2012-13 as Jonathan Quick's backup. He wanted to play more, prompting the trade.

Bernier's record was 9-3-1. He had a goals-against average of 1.88 and a save percentage of .922.
