MIAMI (AP) — Will LeBron James hoist another championship trophy over his head tonight? Or will Tim Duncan? It'll be Game 7 of the NBA Finals this evening as the Miami Heat entertain the San Antonio Spurs.

UNDATED (AP) — Three pitchers take to the mound tonight with nine wins on the season. Washington's Jordan Zimmermann, Lance Lynn of St. Louis and Jason Marquis (mar-KEE') of the Padres are all looking to join Max Scherzer of Detroit and Adam Wainwright of the Cardinals as 10-game winners tonight.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers have decided to part ways with veteran forward Danny Briere (BREE'-ayr). The Flyers are willing to buy out his contract to save $6.5 million off their salary cap. Briere is a 15-year NHL veteran, who had six goals and 10 assists in 34 games last season.

OMAHA (AP) — A pair of ACC rivals meet in the College World Series tonight. The lone game of the day has North Carolina facing North Carolina State. They met last Sunday in the tournament with the Wolfpack of NC State winning.

CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) — Just a few days ago Justin Rose won the U.S. Open championship. Today he is playing in the first round of the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn. The clubhouse lead is held by Hunter Mahan (MAY'-han), who shot an 8-under 62.
