TORONTO (AP) — The Toronto Blue Jays have moved pitcher J.A. Happ to the 60-day disabled list as the left-hander recovers from injuries after being hit in the head with a line drive earlier in this month.
Happ was placed on the 15-day disabled list after sustaining a skull fracture behind his left ear when a liner off the bat of Tampa Bay's Desmond Jennings caught the pitcher on the left side of his head in the game on May 7. Happ dropped to the ground and was carted off the field.
Also Friday, left-handed reliever Darren Oliver was put on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain and Sean Nolin was added to the roster. The rookie is scheduled to make major league debut Friday night against Baltimore.
