ATLANTA (AP) — Darren Collison scored 24 points last night as the Dallas Mavericks topped the Atlanta Hawks 127-113. Dirk Nowitzki added 22 points for the Mavericks, who shot better than 57 percent from the field. Jeff Teague led the Hawks with 19 points.

DALLAS (AP) — Loui Eriksson scored twice last night as the Dallas Stars edged the Calgary Flames 4-3. Eric Nystrom and Erik Cole also netted goals for the Stars, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen made 16 saves.

WACO, Texas (AP) — Defending national champion Baylor is again the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament. Brittney Griner and the Lady Bears open Sunday at home against Southwestern Athletic Conference tournament champion Prairie View. The No. 2 seed in Baylor's region is Tennessee.

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed linebacker Ernie Sims to a one-year deal. Sims joined the Cowboys midseason last year after Sean Lee was lost for the season with a toe injury. Sims will be in a group of players battling for a starting job at outside linebacker.
