BOSTON (AP) — Paul Pierce had 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists and the Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to seven games with a 118-114 triple overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets. Boston's win also ended Denver's winning streak at nine games.
MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James scored 32 points on 12-for-18 shooting, Dwyane (dwayn) Wade added 30 and the Miami Heat beat the Los Angeles Lakers 107-97 for their fifth straight win. James set a Heat club record by scoring at least 30 in five straight games.
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Brandt Snedeker (SNEH'-deh-kur) didn't have to take a back seat to anyone at Pebble Beach over the weekend. A runner-up to Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson the last two weeks, Snedeker fired a 7-under 65 for a two-shot victory over Chris Kirk in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
