SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The San Antonio Spurs never trailed as they coasted to victory against in-state rival Houston Rockets. Tony Parker had 17 points and seven assists in the 114-92 win. The Spurs had six players score in double figures while matching their season high with 33 assists.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A world champion from Decatur, Texas, is leading in the tie-down roping season standings in the National Finals Rodeo. Tuf Cooper earned $12,662 to push his season total to $155,341. That ended Justin Maass' 10-month run at the top. Maass is from Giddings, Texas.

HOUSTON (AP) — Few players can appreciate the Houston Texans' surge to the top of the NFL standings like star receiver Andre Johnson. He sometimes has to tell his teammates how lucky they are. For years, Johnson languished on terrible Texans teams. He's the only current player remaining from Houston's 2-14 season in 2005.

NEW YORK (AP) — Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o, Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will learn tonight which of them takes home the Heisman Trophy. Manzei and Te'o are in New York for the announcement. Klein could not make it to town. Manziel would be the first freshman to win, and Te'o would be the first to play only defense.
