Falling glass
DALLAS — DART officials contacted Dallas police Wednesday afternoon after glass was seen falling from the empty Mercantile national Bank Building in downtown Dallas.
The glass landed on the ground at the intersection of Prather and Commerce Streets. It fell from 22 stories above, but was difficult for officials to spot. No one knows how the glass pane broke because it appears the glass was held together by plastic and duct tape.
No one was hurt, but a bus lane was closed on Commerce Street. Part of the street was closed for several hours while glass was removed from a ledge.
