Here's my family recipe. It's cookies my mom and I would make each year for Christmas when I was a kid! They're super easy and really good! They're also fun to decorate with cherries and colorful holiday sprinkles.

Here's the recipe---enjoy!!!

Vanilla Drop Cookies

2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup milk

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl cream butter, gradually adding sugar; beat in vanilla and egg.
Add flour mixture alternating with milk, to butter mixture, stirring well after each addition.
Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased baking sheet.
Decorate with cherries, red and green sprinkles.
Bake @ 375 for 8-10 minutes.
Makes approximately 50 cookies.
