Hibashi Signature Kalbee

Serves four
1 Asian pear or Fuji apple, cored and sliced, peel on
1 fresh kiwi
1 whole leek, chopped
1/2 medium onion, sliced                                                                                                                       
3/4 Cup soy sauce
3/4 Cup water
1/4 cup garlic cloves, peeled
1/8 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
1/2 Cup honey
1/4 Cup sesame oil
Black pepper to taste
2 pounds of beef ribeye, cut Korean style.  Or you can use well marbled, but thinner beef cut.
2 Tbs sesame oil to grill beef
Make marinade by combining all ingredients (except beef and oil for grilling) in blender and puree.  Pour  marinade into large bowl.
Place raw meat in marinade and make sure all beef is well coated.  Cover and place in refrigerator to marinate for 24 hours.
When ready to grill, take meat out of refrigerator and let get to room temperature.
Heat large sauté pan with oil.  Place beef in pan and cook to preferred tenderness, just like steak.
Serve with traditional Korean kimchi, roasted Asian sweet potatoes, pine mushrooms, steamed rice, and sauces.    Enjoy!
