Chef Doug Brown's Veggie Burger

1/4 cup brown rice
1/4 cup wild rice
1/4 cup bulgur
4 ounces red onion minced
1/4 tbl garlic minced
4 cups black beans cooked
2 ounces pecan pieces toasted
1 fl oz honey
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 1/2 ea egg
4 ounces all purpose flour
1/4 tbl ground cumin toasted
1 tbl kosher salt
1/2 tbl ground black pepper
4 ounces textured vegetable protein
1 tbl tobasco sauce
1. Cook the brown rice and the wild rice separately in boiling water until done
2. Drain and chill
3. Cook the bulgur wheat according to package and chill
3. Reconstitute the vegetable protein in hot water for 5 minutes and drain off the liquid
4. Pulse the black beans in the robo coupe until coarsely pureed
5. Combine all of the remaining ingredients together and chill
6. Form into 6 oz patties and sear on both sides
