The dinner, to be in the Landmark Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Dallas (300 Reunion Blvd.), will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a seated dinner and program. Strayed will be interviewed at 8:30 p.m. by Sarah Hepola, the personal essays editor at Salon.

The Tom Thumb Texas Stampede will take place November 8-10 at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The Texas Stampede is not only one of the most exciting rodeos in the country, it is now one of the Top 4 rodeos in the State of Texas! Texas Stampede is proud to announce that we are once again partnering with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to be a fully sanctioned PRCA rodeo! We will have 3 action packed performances of the sport’s top rodeo athletes competing in Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bareback Riding, Tie-Down roping and Barrel Racing!
In addition to the rodeo, there will also be many family oriented activities, including the Texas Stampede Christmas marketplace, Capital One’s Rodeo U, the Western Heritage display area, pony rides, a petting zoo and much, much more!
