Valerie Elizabeth, founder of Society Stylist and creator of The Little Black Dress Experiment- as seen on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, The WB and online at Yahoo, AOL and The Today Show- is a fashion stylist, ambassador for GLAMOUR Magazine, Lucky Magazine Alpha Shopper, spokesmodel and author of “The Dress Diaries” and editor of the fashion blog “The Diary of Elizabeth Hearst.” In June 2009, she was announced “Face of Dallas” by D Magazine and Max Factor Cosmetics.
Society Stylist is a full service styling firm devoted to helping clients indentify their personal style; which must be comfortable, manageable and most importantly, uniquely theirs. The company employs a “start with what you have” philosophy, and believes in refining, restyling and streamlining a client’s wardrobe so their favorite boutique is right behind their wardrobe doors. When shopping for and with clients, the goal is to educate and empower clients to select pieces with meaning, style and staying power.
“The Dress Diaries…31 days in my LBD” chronicles The Little Black Dress Experiment as Valerie Elizabeth, fashion maven and personal stylist, challenges the traditional rules of fashion. Elizabeth spends 31 days in her little black dress to illustrate how by looking at a wardrobe creatively— and utilizing accessories and trend pieces to create different many unique looks— classic staples become a canvas for a look rather than the statement pieces themselves.
A graduate of Pepperdine University, in Malibu, Valerie holds a degree in Public Relations and Business Administration and was awarded the prestigious Helen Pepperdine Award for volunteer service. An avid philanthropist, Valerie is an active member of the Junior League of Dallas, the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae Group and is consulting stylist for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Debutantes. Valerie lives with her family, in Dallas.

The female fronted pop/rock band - The Bright - officially formed in 2005 (formerly known as Superstring) in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX by vocalist Julie Lange, bassist Miguel Fair and guitarist Kell Curtis. After releasing a full-length album in late 2005 (By All Means) they were joined by guitarist Taylor Tatsch, drummer Cooper Heffley and producer/keyboardist Eric Jenkins. With an award winning HD music video (entitled “If You Want It”), a debut album, extensive shows under their belt and a tour of the west coast in late 2007, the band went to work on another full-length release entitled “In Lucid Dreams”. After pre-releasing several songs from the album as an EP (“Pull Me Apart”) for the 2007 summer tour, the band felt the new name was more reflective of the new music.

Described as “Beautiful, stylish stuff that just might infiltrate your daydreams” by the Fort Worth Star Telegram and “that strange collective with a penchant for writing the most radio-friendly songs this side of LA – we mean that in a good way,” by the Dallas Observer, The Bright’s sound is influenced by 80’s new wave and synth pop, 90’s Brit and dream pop, yet always guitar driven with even a dash of 70’s British rock. To be referred to as a “collective” is a fitting description. It has a feel of being more than just a band with a couple of key songwriters and the rest merely performers. Each member of The Bright brings accomplished songwriting skills adding individual thumbprints to every song.

The singles “Cemetery Street”, “I’ve Got a Feeling” and “Almost Maybe”, from their full-length album “In Lucid Dreams”, have been prominently featured in MTV’s wildly popular reality show “The Hills”. The album also includes an epic cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir”. “In Lucid Dreams” was recorded at Bass Propulsion Labs in Dallas, TX and was produced by Eric Jenkins, engineered by Eric Jenkins and Taylor Tatsch and is available for download on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster and Amazon.
