A city-wide Dallas parks beautification opportunity - park
department provides the supplies while you supply the ideas,
requests and the people. The park department invites
people to visit special website or call to leave requests for
desired park improvements such as weeding, litter pickup,
flower bed mulching, graffiti removal and other simple repairs,
then indicate how many helpers they'll bring to "It's My Park Day"
to help turn the ideas into a reality.
The park department will provide items such as wheel barrels,
mulch, shovels, gloves, litter sticks, pitch forks, trash bags,
etc. to assist people with the improvements they wish to
see at their parks. Families, volunteers, homeowners
associations, scout troops, social and civic clubs, corporate
teams and groups of friends are all welcomed to participate.
Deadline for idea submissions and signup is September 27th.
