STEPHAN PYLES/ SHARE OUR STRENGTH

Stephan Pyles will host a very special dinner for Share Our Strength®, a national nonprofit working to end childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. The dinner is part of the organization’s national touring dinner series called Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry®. With strong support from the culinary industry, including the country’s hottest chefs and top echelon restaurants, No Kid Hungry provides discerning diners with unparalleled cuisine and fine beverages, while raising funds to support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger.

Chef Pyles will gather eight top chefs from Dallas and around the country to create a masterful multi-course menu paired with exquisite wines on Sunday, October 9. This year’s line-up of award winning chefs includes:
  • Jamie Bissonnette, Coppa, Boston, MA
  • Anthony Bombaci, Nana Restaurant, Dallas, TX
  • Katherine Clapner, Dude, Sweet Chocolate, Dallas, TX
  • Randall Copeland and Nathan Tate, Restaurant Ava, Dallas, TX
  • Joel Harrington, Stephan Pyles
  • Jonathan Lundy, Jonathan's at Gratz Park, Lexington, KY
  • Jimmy Schmidt, Morgan's in the Desert, La Quinta, CA

The cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. and seated dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $175 per person. Make reservations by calling 888-273-6141 or visit http://join.strength.org/atp_dallas.

The evening also includes a live auction hosted by one the country's most sought-after corporate entertainers Billy Harris. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on fabulous culinary and travel items during the evening’s silent and live auctions.

Nearly 16 million children in America struggle with hunger. That’s one in five kids at risk of hunger. Share Our Strength is working to end childhood hunger in the United States on a state-by-state basis through funding and coalition building. Through these efforts, they provide families with access to existing public and private programs like school breakfast and lunch, summer meals and food stamps. Since 2005, the national touring dinner series has raised almost $3 million.

“Ending childhood hunger is a cause I have been passionate about for many years,” said Chef Pyles. “I look forward to hosting this dinner every year.”

SOUPMOBILE

The mission statement of the SoupMobile consists of 3 simple words spoken by Jesus himself: "Feed MY Sheep." We believe He meant more than just food. He also meant love, caring, compassion, and shelter. In order to fulfill the words of Jesus, the SoupMobile has 3 main missions:

Founded by David Timothy a.k.a. The SoupMan in 2003, the SoupMobile is a 'mobile' soupkitchen that began feeding the homeless. Unlike a regular soup kitchen where the homeless come to you, the SoupMobile is mobile and we go to where the homeless congregate to serve them. In our first year of operations we served 5,000 meals. At the time we thought it was a lot...
Now the SoupMobile serves an incredible 200,000 hot, nutritious, tasty meals per year to the homeless on Dallas' South side. More than just food, we serve LOVE to our homeless friends.
On a typical day our Head Chef and his assistants arrive at the SoupMobile kitchen at 8:00AM and start cooking. We then serve 600 hot, healthy and hearty meals to the homeless at lunchtime.
