Komen Fort Worth is doing a Dine Out for the Cure the Thursday before the Race (May 8). We could (most likely) get a chef from one of the participating restaurants to come on to make a dish and talk about both Dine Out and the Race. FORT WORTH ZOO/ GIGANTABUGS

Giant bugs have invaded the Fort Worth Zoo! Thirteen larger-than-life, animatronic bugs can be found scattered throughout the park as part of a new, temporary exhibit designed to introduce guests to the wondrous world of bugs. From insects found in your own backyard to the Madagascan sunset moth and the European stag beetle, GIGANTABUGS! offers diverse species to discover, showcasing their super skills and value to the ecosystem. Guests can interact with these mechanical invertebrates by controlling their movements and experiencing the magnified sights and sounds of these not-so-creepy, crawly creatures.

The learning experience isn’t limited to the giant look-alikes. Many of these mechanical bugs’ real-life counterparts can be found in permanent exhibits throughout the Zoo. The Museum of Living Art (MOLA) and Texas Wild! are home to several related species.

GIGANTABUGS! Will be at the zoo through July 6 and is included with regular Fort Worth Zoo admission or membership. See them now before they flutter, scurry and fly away.
