BRYAN’S HOUSE

The mission of Bryan's House is to respond to the needs of children and their families by providing medically managed child care, respite care, and community-based, family-centered support services.

Our Medically Managed Child Care Program provides specialized child care, respite care, high quality early childhood education to children affected by HIV/AIDS or other special health needs, and a continuum of social support services for their families. Almost all children and families are low-to-moderate income and do not pay for services.

We address the educational needs, physical and mental health, nutritional requirements, and family circumstances of at-risk children – those who are low-income and have special health needs. Medically managed child care integrates on-site nursing with high-quality early childhood education and developmental care. Nurses, teachers and caregivers work in unison to provide medical care, perform developmental assessments and coordinate therapies in a way that blends into the daily activities of each child.

Our Social Services Program provides services such as basic needs assessments to determine clients’ needs in terms of housing, food stamps, transportation, medical care, and referrals to services we do not provide on-site. However, Bryan’s House case managers also work with clients to resolve issues that can lead them out of poverty and instability to achieve self-sufficiency.
