AMY’S RECIPE FOR “CRUNCHY FUDGE RICE CRISPY THINGS”
1 pkg (1 cup) Nestle Butterscotch morsels
½ cup crunchy peanut butter
4 cups rice crispy cereal
1 6 oz pkg (1 cup) Nestle semi-sweet Chocolate morsels
½ cup confectioners’ sugar
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tbsp Water
Directions: In large pot combine butterscotch morsels and peanut butter, heat until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Add the rice crispy cereal, stir until well coated. Press ½ mixture into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Chill this in the fridge while you continue making the fudge mixture. Set the remaining butterscotch mixture aside. Combine over hot water (double boiler) chocolate morsels, confectioners’ sugar, butter and water, stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth. Spread over the refrigerated. Now spread the remaining butterscotch mixture evenly over the top. Press gently. Chill in refrigerator until firm and cut into small squares.

HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE
Experience the magic of Highland Park Village on Friday, November 27th, as the spirit of the holiday season comes to life. Yuletide festivities will take place from 2 to 6pm and will include cookie decorating, caroling, face painting, balloon artists and special events and offers at participating retailers. The merchants of Highland Park Village are also hosting a toy drive that will benefit the S.M. Wright Foundation and Children’s Medical Center.
