DALLAS GIRL POWER EVENT
Texas Health Resources is partnering with the Laura Bush Institute to present the Dallas Girl Power event on Nov. 17th.
This is a special event for moms and daughters (mostly girls ages 4th-6th grade) to come together and have fun while learning about self-esteem, healthy diet, cyber-bullying and even stress management for mom.
The Girl Scouts of Dallas will also present an anti-bullying segment called BFF and Carly Patterson (gymnast) will be the key-note speaker. With this being a critical stage in a girl’s life, the goal of the program is to strengthen the bond and dialogue between these girls and their mothers.
Time: 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Date: Sunday, Nov. 17
Place: Southern Methodist University, Hughes-Trigg Student Center
