THE NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL WESTERN HERITAGE MUSEUM ANNOUNCES
2011 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES
 
Fort Worth, TX...The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum today announces the induction of eight (8) legends of the West, including veteran actor, writer, producer Glynn Turman during its annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, November 19, at the Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel, 200 Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76102. The awards ceremony is the culmination of a weekend of activities including a VIP Welcome Reception and Western Heritage Symposium. 
 
"We are honored to be able to recognize the contributions of these individuals to the preservation of our western heritage and culture," says NMWHM Co-Founder Jim Austin. "We have an amazing weekend of events planned, and we really want to encourage everyone in community to bring their families out and be a part of the history of the cowboy legacy."
 
This year's honorees include: Joe Beaver, Freddie “Skeet” Gordon, Peter Perkins Pitchlynn, Ruth Scantlin Roach, Will Rogers, Shirlie Sanders, Glynn Turman and Walter Clarence “Buck” Taylor, III. "It is critical that we keep the memory of these western heroes alive," says Gloria Austin, NMWHM Co-Founder and Executive Director. "Our children have to understand the enormous role that cowboys and cowgirls, especially those of color, played in the development of not only the West but also this nation."
 
This will be a weekend of events celebrating the legacy of these western legends that rewards everyone who attends. Tickets are $150 for individuals, $1500for tables of 10 and corporate sponsorships are available for $2500-$25,000.
