It is Election Day and keeping up with all the races is not easy, but with an app or two, you can keep up with the numbers.

Here are some apps and web sites to help you follow the numbers.

Polltracker is part of Talking Points Memo web site. This provides data on political polls for races across the country. This is by the numbers, not political choice.

The home page works only on the major races across the country. There is a special button for the presidential races, so you can follow that throughout the day. “All Polls” tab can check polls for races anywhere in the country. It covers senate, house and governors’ races, as well as issues on the ballots.

This is a free iPhone app that can be downloaded on your iPad.

Show of Hands

Want to allow your voice to be heard? Well, you can take poll after poll and find out what the other voters on this site think.

"Show of Hands" polls for politics and subjects in the news.  Sometimes the polls are rather frivolous, but fun all the same.

"Show of Hands" is a free app.

Politico

“Politico” is a year-round political news app. There are blogs and an election map that helps break down each race. This site doesn't cater to one party or another. It has a number of story from both sides. The reporters dive into subject sometime forgotten or seem small, but are important. If you are a political news junkie or you want to stay in the know about politics. This will just about do it.

Again, a free app.

GENERAL

There are a number of FREE apps to check out that deal with today's election and politics in general. So, the search function is very important in your apps store.

There are dozens of apps that deal with politics. Some will help you keep up with your city and state's laws, ordinances or issues. Some are specific news agencies that cover politics like the Associate Press or Fox News or CNN. Some of your favorite political pendants also have apps.

In the search engine, just type in politics and hit search. On the iPad you can find some apps that are for the iPhone, but can also be used on the iPad.
