The popularity of the latest game craze is something no one saw coming.

Latest data shows 20 percent of U.S. iPhone users played the game "Candy Crush Saga" in the month of July. This is not a typical game engagement level number. It is usually around 5 percent, according to the "Onavo Engagement Study"

Twitter was used by 27 percent of iPhone user in the U.S. last month. Some say Candy Crush Saga has overtaken Angry Birds to be world's most popular game.

The developers are in a financially fit situation. 9to5Mac reported that Candy Crush Saga is raking in $633,000 a day.

Nearly every person on FaceBook has gotten at least one invite to play Candy Crush Saga. Players warn, it is addictive.
