Former Cowboys number 88 helped the boys in blue rack up three Super Bowl wins. Hall of Famer Michael Irvin joined Good Morning Texas to not talk football, but to talk about an event that will help children get to summer camp.

Irvin is the celebrity honorary chair for the 7th Annual Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala. The event will bring together legendary Dallas Cowboys and national Rodeo Champions  for an event to benefit children heading off to camp with Sky Ranch.

Linda Paulk with Sky Ranch says the proceeds from the gala go towards scholarships.

"We have a session that is dedicated to kids of incarcerated parents and other undeserved kids," said Paulk.

This year the goal is to raise more than $650,000.

The Cowboys and Cowboys Sky Ranch Gala will take place on February 22 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. For more information click here.
