GRAPEVINE  - One of the largest scrapbooking events in North Texas is taking place this weekend in Grapevine.

This is the second year that the Scrapbook Expo has set up shop at the Gaylord Texan. The paper extravaganza was host to more than 2,500 paper crafters during its first visit in 2013. Organizers say they are expecting even more crafters coming through the doors of the convention center this year.

There are dozens of workshops for scrapbookers, paper crafts, and cardmakers. Their skill levels are varied. Nearly 100 vendors will bring in the the latest tools, paper, embellishments, glitter and other supplies that event goers will want.

The three-day event kicks off on Thursday with a Mega Make-&-Take workshop. Floor show doors open early Friday at 10 a.m. and on Saturday the doors open at 9 a.m. There are dozens of make-&-take events throughout the show. Tickets start at $10.
