If Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst decides to run for governor, he won't be alone in seeking the office. Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson -- who authored the state's concealed handgun bill -- is jumping in. The Republican speaks out on that, and on gun control as this week's guest.

The gun debate rages on Flashpoint: Assault rifles... who needs them? From the right, Mark Davis of 660 AM The Answer,  and on the left, former Democratic state representative Domingo Garcia.

When politicians raise the abortion issue, is it because of the cause... or cash? Katrina Pierson, founder of the Garland Tea Party, speaks out in My Voice My Opinion.

And on Roundtable, signs that Attorney General Greg Abbott wants to run for governor.  Dallas Morning News Austin bureau chief Christy Hoppe joins News political writer Gromer Jeffers in the discussion with "Inside Texas Politics" moderator and WFAA political reporter Brad Watson.
