Many children waiting for their forever homes are often in need of tutoring, school supplies and other educational needs.

That's where "Friends of Wednesday's Child" steps in.

For nearly 30 years, the non-profit has brought hope and healing to North Texas Foster Children by providing childhood needs, whether it's tutoring or getting them a scholarship to a summer camp.

Friends of Wednesday's Child is that extra support that is now asking the public for help.

Sharon McGowan, executive director of Friends of Wednesday's Child, talks about the distinction between the organization, which is not related to Child Protective Services, and about how volunteers and donors can help them help others.
