This Week on Good Morning Texas (October 17 - October 21)

Monday, October 17th: Singer Kelly Clarkson talks to us about her new children’s book, “River Rose” and what she misses most about living in Texas. Have a vintage Halloween! Our crafting diva has spooky vintage crafts you can make with items found in your home. Then we’re making jam and preserves with tips from an award winning chef from the State Fair of Texas. Plus move over ice bucket challenge! There’s a new challenge that hopes to save lives of veterans. Shannon Powell Hart takes the 22 Push Up Challenge. Former WFAA reporter Steve Stoler drops by to tell us about his new book, “Tonight at Ten: A TV News Reporter’s Stories Behind the Stories.” Monday at 9 a.m.


Tuesday, October 18th: Get ready for music that Big Tex would love! Texas country singer, Big Joe Walker performs a hit from his new album on the Good Morning Texas Stage. Then Paige McCoy Smith goes behind the scenes Canstruction at the State Fair of Texas. Plus it’s Blu-ray Tuesday. Find out how you could win a copy of  “The Shallows,” starring Blake Lively. Plus new magnetic light technology that helps get rid of migraines.. Tuesday at 9 a.m.


Wednesday, October 19th: Zombies are taking over the GMT studio! The Cutting Edge Haunted House is invading the show. Hopefully no one gets bitten! Do you want to be a zombie for Halloween? Perhaps Superman is more your style? Better yet, how about a villain from the movie “Suicide Squad?” Rose’s Costumes shows us the latest trends in Halloween Costumes. Plus, if you are headed to the movies instead of Trick or Treating, Movie Critic Julie Fisk gives us her grade on Fall’s biggest blockbusters. McDonald’s has breakfast all day on GMT. Don’t miss it.. Wednesday at 9 a.m.


Thursday, October 20th: Famous shoe designer, Sam Edelman joins us in studio to show off his latest shoe styles and share details on an event where you can meet him. Then it’s a Pumpkin Palooza! From creative pumpkin carvings, to easy and unique pumpkin recipes, you’ll be pumpkin ready for Halloween! Once the trick or treating is done, it’s time for holiday shopping. We have a preview at Neiman Marcus Fantasy Christmas gifts. Thursday at 9 a.m.


Friday, October 21st: Shaquille O’Neal’s mother, Lucille O’ Neal joins GMT on set to share her story of early life turmoil and how she’s overcome them in hopes to inspire others. Plus a classic performance of “Thriller” in time for Halloween. Dallas blogger and Real House Wives of Dallas cheerleader, Cynthia Smoot drops by to talk about the highly anticipated season two, potential new cast members and another new reality show filming in Dallas. Then GMT explores trendy new spots at Trinity Groves, including a new vegan spot called V-Eats Modern Vegan from chef Troy Gardner and Saint Rocco’s Rooftop Lounge.  Friday at 9 a.m.
