This Week on Good Morning Texas (September 26 - September 30)

Monday, September 26: GMT’s show is live on the road at the new Texas Health Hospital Clearfork in Fort Worth. GMT is excited to feature their hip and knee replacement procedures and new technology. It’s all about the patient. Doctors here can get you in and out in just 24 hours after a hip replacement! Low impact exercises can help strengthen your joints, and a yoga instructor will show us some good moves for our joints. Then the executive chef for Texas Health Resources Southwest will be baking up a healthy crispy chicken recipe, using cornflakes. Then these aren’t your grandmother’s shoes! We have tested out the most comfortable yet fashionable shoes for every day. It’s all Monday at 9 a.m.

Tuesday, September 27: North Texan and Olympic champion Nastia Liukin drops by GMT to tell us how the public can meet here at a tenth anniversary spa event at Spa Habitat! Plus, she dishes on her trip to the Olympics, her dad’s new job as the Olympics USA Gymnastics national team coordinator. Then she joins us for our “Dancing with the Stars” panel, breaking down the performances from the night before. “Dancing with the Stars” pro Tony Dovolani joins us and he’ll tell us about his Southlake dance studio, and he’ll even perform! Then find out the many ways you can save Big at the State Fair of Texas with our Coupon Mommy. Plus it’s Blu Ray Tuesday! Find out how you could win a copy of “Money Monster.” Tuesday at 9 a.m. 

Wednesday, September 28: Learn the fascinating history behind the iconic Kessler Theater. Did you know that Gene Autry used to own it? GMT takes you behind the scenes live.  Before the Dallas Theater Center's world-premiere of the musical, “Bella: An American Tall Tale,” the actors perform on the GMT stage. Meet our CareNow Teacher of the Month. Then medical tourism. Get Amped Up with the Nicholson Clinic and find out why so many people are traveling from around the world to Dallas for procedures. Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Thursday, September 29: “Frozen” star Kristen Bell joins us live to talk about her new project! Plus, America’s funniest doctor, Ken Jeong and his young co-star Albert Tsai fill us in on their second season of the ABC comedy “Dr. Ken.” GMT is live for one of the biggest pumpkin and floral displays in the country! We’re there for the premiere of the Dallas Arboretum’s pumpkin village. We check out a new restaurant inside a Plano Walmart, featuring State Fair of Texas foods… Thursday at 9 a.m.

Friday, September 30: Howdy folks! GMT’s entire show is live from the State Fair of Texas, and it’s all sponsored by Community Coffee! You can stop by Community Coffee’s trolley for a sample, and then you can take a photo of yourself with the coffee and share it on social media. Community Coffee will be at the fair through October 6th. GMT is live from the new Taylor Swift music exhibit, talking to the curator. Plus, GMT is live at Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition. If you have never had a chance to travel to the Vatican, you get to see life-size reproductions of the ceiling frescos, including the 40 by 41-foot rendition of The Last Judgment. Alanna Sarabia takes a spin on four new rides at the fair. Then, we take you inside the greenhouse right off of the fair midway. Plus, the theme this year focuses on Texas Agriculture. We check out the animals at the fair, Go Texan products you can buy and a new Ispy exhibit. Don’t miss it! Friday at 9 a.m.
