'Frienemies' hits Dallas for one night only

'Frenemies' on stage in Dallas

DALLAS -- A stage play from Oak Cliff's own Snoop Robinson opens Friday with one date on the schedule.

For one night only, "Frienemies," the stage play written and directed by Robinson, will take place at Friendship West Baptist Church Friday at 7 p.m.

"Frienemies" stars Chrystale Wilson, known for her portrayal of the character Ronnie in Ice Cube's movie "The Player's Club" in 1998. The Atlanta native was recently featured in an episode of "Iyanla: Fix My Life" with Iyanla Vanzant on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

"Frienemies" is a tale of a group friends that become frienemies after some unexpected twist and turns on the road of life. Moments when desire trumps loyalty, the friendships are tested.

Making his executive producing debut with this stage play is Fort Worth's own Kelvin Garmon, former offensive guard for the Dallas Cowboys.

Snoop was awarded the Film of the Year award by the Christian Entertainment Awards for his feature film, "Unexceptional Behavior" Saturday.
