ARLINGTON — Six Flags Over Texas debuted its new ride on Saturday: "Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast."
The theme park says it's the fastest reverse roller coaster in the state, carrying 20 people going 70 miles per hour — backwards.
Members of Big Brothers Big Sisters were treated to the first ride.
And keeping with the theme of "everything cold," Six Flags brought in Dallas native Vanilla Ice to celebrate the opening.
On the north side of Interstate 30, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor opened its summer season on Saturday.
The water park has all the classic slides and rides, like the "Black Hole." New this year, something called "Dive Bomber" — a seven-story free-fall water slide.
Hurricane Harbor will be open on weekends this month, and every day of the week starting in June.
