A second death is now being linked to the Electric Daisy Carnival at Fair Park in Dallas last weekend.

Police say a 22-year-old man who died when he ran onto North Central Expressway and was hit by a semi likely ingested drugs at the electronic music festival early Sunday morning before the accident.

Kyle Haigis was killed on his way home from the Electric Daisy Carnival. Police said he was in a car with his friend who was driving and began acting aggressively — apparently a reaction to drugs he had taken.

Investigators said the two struggled, knocking the gear shift into park. Witnesses said Haigis' friend tried and failed to keep him from running onto the highway.

The friend told police they purchased and took what they thought was ecstacy at the concert.

A spokeswoman for Insomniac Events, the company that produced the concert, had this reaction:

"Since the details and facts surrounding the accident are extremely scarce, we reached out to local authorities to find out what actually occured. However at this time, we do not believe that is is related to the event."

Autopsy results are pending, so at this time it's unclear exactly what Haigis ingested during the concert.
