Are you missing your Dallas Mavericks? You can get your basketball fix on the big screen with a new critically-acclaimed film featuring the team's former scouting director.
The inspirational documentary "Elevate" is now showing. It follows the hoop dreams of four young basketball players from Senegal. They leave home for American prep schools through the "Seeds" program, founded by former Mavericks director of scouting Amadou Fall. Their hopes -- to land college scholarships and maybe even make it into the NBA.
The film is directed by Anne Buford. The "New York Times" says "it's impossible not to be moved." "Elevate" is rated PG and is showing exclusively at the Grapevine Mills 30.
Fall currently is the Vice President of Development for the NBA in Africa.
