The organization called Dress for Success gives women in need a confidence boost by helping them ready for business through attire, support and career development tools.

Suzanne Thomas, a chef, is one among many women whose life was changed through the program. Thomas was living in a shelter when she learned of Dress for Success. She was seeking to pursue a culinary career and was soon able to get an education at La Cordon Bleu.

The Light the Runway 2014 benefits the program and takes place on May 15.
