DALLAS — Balancing artistic excellence with financial realities, on this Labor Day the Dallas Symphony Orchestra announced a new two-year contract with its musicians.
The pact follows more than four months of negotitiations.
The new contract takes effect October 1 and runs through August, 2013.
The DSO recently cut more than $1 million from its budget, including the elimination of staff positions and a staff wage freeze.
