DALLAS — Saturday is a big day for Whitney Houston fans in Dallas. Starting at noon, Sony Pictures and MySpace are holding a huge singing challenge at Valley View Center in North Dallas to honor Houston's final project, the remake of the movie "Sparkle," which opens in theaters on August 17.
The rules are simple: You must be able to sing a capella, must be between the ages of 12 and 40, and you must be an amateur. The winner goes to New York for a recording session and an appearance on BET.
Sarah Henson is one of the actresses in Sparkle. She joins us along with Gary With Da Tea, a local radio jock and host of the Sparkle singing contest.
