Wednesday's Child: Ben

Most freshmen don't have the chance to learn how to fly a jet in a simulator or study the Apollo 7 Spacecraft.

But Ben, 15, was fascinated by what he learned at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas.

"I learned some new things about the moon and about planes -- planes I really didn't even know existed," said the 15 year-old.

He's is a happy teen with an outgoing and energetic personality.

"I like singing, but I'm not going to sing in front of a camera!"

Although he wouldn't sing for us, Ben is quite confident -- especially when it comes to athletics.

"I want to be in the NFL or the NBA," he told us.

"You a pretty good football player?" Cynthia Izaguirre asked.

"I'm real good -- I'm not pretty good!"

Ben enjoys talking to people and makes friends fairly easily. He is very mature for his age.

"I forget the past and I look to the future," he said. "It is what it is. I live life at its fullest."

Ben will benefit from a two-parent family who sets clear and consistent boundaries. He wants a mom who treats him the same way she treats her own biological children.

"A mama bear," he said. "If you mess with her child, she'll go through anything to fight for you."

As for a dad, Ben is looking for a role model.

"A mentor," he said. "Someone to look up to, someone to go to if you have a problem."

Ben is so excited about finding his forever family, he dressed up for the interview promising to bring a lot of love to his new home.

"The golden rule: treat people how you wanna be treated," said Ben, with a smile.
