SOUTHLAKE – Kaliejah and Khadijah were flying high Wednesday at the Urban Air Indoor Trampoline Park in Southlake.
“I love it,” cheered Khadijah, 18, sporting a face-spanning smile. “That was fun!”
The two are five years apart in age, but many think they’re twins –– especially since older sister Khadija doesn’t like to wear makeup.
"I think it's pointless. If you're the way God wanted you to be, what is the point of wearing makeup? It makes you look older and I like to look the way I am."
Younger sister Kaliejah, 13, is sweet natured and typically shy. But she was all smiles and showed plenty of personality during the shoot. She loves to journal about her experiences, especially since she wants to be an author one day.
"I like to write funny stories that have my sister in them but she doesn't know about. And, like, sad stories sometimes and make people cry,” she said.
Kaliejah needs a family that is loving, patient and kind.
She needs structure in her life and a family who will foster her sister, who is now 18.
"I like my sister because she's nice. She's nice to me. She likes to help me out in bad situations so if somebody's talking about me she'll say don't talk about my sister," said Kaliejah beaming with pride.
These sisters bring out the best in one another even if it's singing in front of a camera.
Khadijah sang a song from her favorite singer, Brandi. These awesome sisters have endured quite the storm together and now they want to enjoy the rainbow. Both have only one request –– that they stay together.
